I have been crafting since I was a kid – I first dipped my toes into selling aged 13, making polymer clay badges for charity sales at school.

My interest in jewellery sprang from this and I began with stringing freshwater pearls and other gemstones in unique ‘twists’, using stainless steel micro cable. These proved very popular and some of my work today still features these. However I realised that I wasn’t happy just buying in sterling silver catches and beads, and wanted to manufacture my own. So I took the plunge and trained in jewellery and silversmithing. It was a steep learning curve and it’s fair to say that I have been acquiring new techniques ever since!

I work from home in a purpose built studio and am proud of my Sheffield heritage. Similar to the silver and steel smiths that Sheffield is reknowned for, quality and durability are always my main concerns. For this reason I choose to work in natural materials: sterling silver, gold, freshwater pearls and semi-precious gemstones. I take inspiration from the seasons but try not to get distracted by staring out of the window!

In recent years I have transferred my metalworking skills over into making stained glass panels using mixed media: beads, wire, chain, glass (of course) and found objects. These are mostly made to order but there is some seasonal availability – keep an eye on my Instagram account for this.

I specialise in making jewellery for special occasions and to complement particular outfits. Consultations can happen in person, over the phone or entirely by email! All I require are a few measurements and some close- up photos of your outfit, if you wish your jewellery to match with it. I can either come up with a design for you or make whatever you have in mind – just contact me to enquire.

You can also purchase a selection of my jewellery and stained glass at Rag n Bone, Carbrook, Sheffield and Annie Jude’s, Hillsborough, Sheffield, as well as my online shop.
